I cannot believe it has been over two weeks since our last post! Apologies for the radio silence, everybody. It has been a super-busy couple of weeks, but we are back! Today I am sharing a look I wore for a casual daytime outing with the family that included a little bit of shopping and a late lunch.
As Fall rolls around, my love for navy starts to manifest itself more and more in my outfit choices. It is such a rich, luxurious color and definitely a staple for the Fall season. I love using it as a base for the color palette of my Fall outfits and adding complimenting tones like red, burgundy, camel, blush (the list goes on and on…). For this outfit I’ve paired this dramatic maxi, shirt-dress with a red shoulder bag for just the right amount of contrast.
Color and fabric combination are key as we transition into Fall. For the early days of autumn when temperatures are still in the mid-20s, low 30s (ok, high 60s, low 70s for our American readers), I reach for light fabrics. What I love about this maxi dress is that it is made of silk, so it is actually pretty airy and can keep me cool throughout the day. So, while the color speaks to the season, the fabric makes it very practical when Fall isn’t quite Fall just yet. In cooler days, you can opt to wear this with booties and layer on a belted vest.
What colors do you all love for the Fall season?
